A police officer is nursing minor leg injuries after being attacked by four armed men. The cop based at Nyamasaria Police Post was fueling his vehicle at a petrol station along Nairobi Road.
He was on his way to check on his colleagues on patrol before he met the gang which was armed with AK47 riffles. They dragged him out of the vehicle before speeding off towards Nairobi.
Among the items stolen include a black laptop bag containing a police radio set, a police note book and a personal mountain bike. Others were a brown wallet containing an ATM card, an identification card, NHIF card and a police certificate of appointment.
DCI in Kisumu says investigations are underway.
