French superstar Kylian Mbappé is reportedly considering moving to Premier League side Liverpool when his contract at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expires mid this year.
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is said to have been tracking Mbappé for the last nine years from the time he played for Monaco. Klopp is now set to face tough competition from Real Madrid who are also seeking to secure the footballer in one of the highest profile free transfers in the history of professional football.
While Real Madrid is reportedly offering at least €130M (KSH. 26B) per season in an attempt to lure Mbappé to Spain, Liverpool is yet to make a public offer.
With Mohamed Salah’s contract expiring in 2025 and Saudi Pro League teams chasing the Egyptian, Liverpool is closely eyeing to replace Salah with Mbappé.
Mbappé has scored 233 goals in 288 appearances for PSG since joining, initially on loan, from Monaco in 2017.
