The Nairobi Women’s Hospital College (NWHC) has commenced an internal investigation into the conduct of one of its students who has since been identified as Vanessa Ogema.
Ms. Vanessa was on Wednesday recorded causing chaos inside a public hospital in Busia County, hurling abuses at nurses and scattering their stationery while invoking CS Ababu Namwamba’s name.
A statement from Vanessa’s institution, seen by BRK, condemns her actions, saying such conduct do not align with the values and standards they uphold as a school.
“As an organization, we are committed to nurturing compassionate and responsible professionals,” reads part of the statement.
The school’s administration has further commenced investigations into the matter to gather all relevant information which will aid in taking appropriate action in line with the institution’s policies and procedures.
NWHC has also apologized to the affected hospital and their staff over Vanessa’s conduct at the facility.
