Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Ababu Namwamba has addressed a viral video that captured a rowdy woman yelling inside a public hospital while hurling abuses at nurses and scattering stationery inside an office in the facility.
The yet to be identified woman threatened to call the CS by invoking his name in a bid to hasten service delivery in the hospital.
“I have a right, let me call Ababu, this is how you kill people here, we have a patient in the emergency she cannot breathe,” she shouted while scattering on the floor items on the nurse’s desk.
The viral video has elicited mixed reactions, while others feel the lady indecently behaved inside a public facility with claims of knowing CS Ababu, others also claim her act is justifiable, given the (alleged) tendency of nurses ignoring patients in public hospitals.
While responding to the clip, the CS says he doesn’t support such behavior and the woman’s actions associated with him do not align with his values or commitment to public service.
“I unequivocally condemn any behavior against principles of integrity. I am thoroughly investigating these allegations and will take decisive actions to rectify any wrongdoing.
My commitment to serving you remains unwavering, and I am dedicated to rebuilding trust through transparency and corrective measures. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time,” Namwamba has said.
