The Meteorological Department has asked Kenyans to prepare for sunny and dry conditions in most parts of the country, lasting at least until the end of January 2024. This follows a deadly El Nino last November and December that claimed the lives of at least 174 people.
The weatherman however says certain regions including the Lake Victoria basin, Southern Rift Valley, South-Eastern lowlands, Highlands East of the Rift Valley, and South Coast region are expected to experience sporadic rainfall.
