Fresh errors emerge in the 2023 KCSE exam results.

Even after the Ministry of Education abolishing use of SMS to send national exam results to individual candidates over widespread discrepancies, fresh errors have emerged following the release of 2023 KCSE exam results a day ago.

Multiple complains have been reported, the KNEC results portal giving back conflicting grades each time candidates requested for their results. It’s however not clear if the same is being experienced by overall school results.

Many of such errors affected the mean grades and individual subject grades. Some students receiving up to three different mean grades from the link provided by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, each time they queried.

The CS is yet to address the disparity. This now puts the Education Ministry on the spot after similar errors being experienced during the release of 2023 KCPE examination results.

The 2023 KCPE mass errors led to postponing of 2023 KCSE results release, the Ministry saying they were taking time to rectify the mistakes, which included abolishing use of SMS providers to send results to candidates.
