Mobile phone-based money transfer service M-PESA has been hit by an outage affecting transactions both on STK and Mobile App. Safaricom attributes the downtime to an undergoing scheduled maintenance.
In multiple replies to concerned inquires on social media, Safaricom has issued a general response, “We regret there is a general outage affecting M-PESA services on STK and APP.
This is being addressed with utmost priority. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
