Kenyans to pay more for electricity this month. This is after Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) increasing cost of power by at least 16.5%. The energy regulator attributes the increase to the depreciation of the Kenyan shilling against the USD.
The move is likely to affect negatively the cost of production in the industrial and manufacturing sector. This, will in turn, could lead to an increase in the prices of basic commodities.
