Multichoice Africa bans TB Joshua’s Emmanuel TV after BBC exposé.

Leading entertainment company Multichoice Africa has announced it will be stopping Emmanuel TV from airing on its DSTV and GOTV pay-tv platforms beginning 17 January 2024.

The decision by the media giant follows an explosive exposé by BBC that has lifted the lid on crimes committed by TB Joshua while he was alive.

The unforgiving documentary shows how the once charismatic and hugely successful Nigerian preacher and televangelist with an immense global following involved himself in multiple cases of rape and sexual torture of his church members before his death in 5 June 2021.

The preacher is also said to have been broadcasting fake miracles through his Emmanuel TV channel.

In a notice seen by BRK, Multichoice Africa has informed viewers of the channel that beginning 17 January 2024, Emmanuel TV will no longer exist both on DSTV and GOTV.

“Dear viewer, please note that Emmanuel TV will exit on the 17th of January 2024. Thank you for watching,,” reads the notice.
