Taxi-hailing platform Bolt has introduced a new feature on its app; a cancellation option dubbed ‘Driver Asked to Pay Off-the-App’ which discourages riders from taking trips offline and paying off the app.
Bolt says the feature is also meant to reduce chances of drivers asking riders to cancel trips and calculate their fares offline.
Further, the new feature enables riders to take immediate action if they encounter such situations. Bolt adds that notorious drivers use such opportunities to overcharge riders.
