Owner of the Airbnb apartment in TRM Drive, Roysambu where Rita Waeni Muendo, a 20-year-old student was brutally murdered, and three other suspects to remain in custody at Kasarani Police Station as detectives continue with investigations.
The 4 are in custody in connection with the gruesome murder and dismembering of Waeni’s body. The owner of the Airbnb apartment was arrested for failing to record appropriate details of the main suspect, information that could have helped investigators in tracing the brutal killer.
The other three are friends who were arrested after one (who lives in a room next to where Rita was murdered) was found with what looked like traces of blood underneath his nails.
The four will be presented in court on 25 January 2024.
