Police have on Sunday evening recovered a human head belonging to a middle-aged woman from a dam in Kiambaa, Kiambu County.
It has been presented to the DCI forensics team to confirm if it belongs to slain student Rita Waeni. Additional personal effects believed to belong to the deceased was also recovered at the scene including a mobile phone.
The head which was starting to decompose was recovered following a tip off by locals.
