A new survey by Infotrak finds that at least 73% of Kenyans are struggling to make ends meet or are in dire financial crisis.
The finding further states that those in North Eastern, Coast, Central and Rift Valley top the list of regions where Kenyans are facing severe financial distress.
Some 22% of the respondents said they are neither struggling nor comfortable.
According to Infotrak, only 5% of Kenyans are sailing calmly over the harsh economic times.
Kenyans aged 18-26 years and those above 55 recorded the highest population by age of those struggling at 77%.
The survey was conducted between 18 December and 19, 2023.
