Telegram is introducing multiple updates in its January feature rollout, including “View-Once” for audio & video messages.
Telegram first introduced “view-once” feature in one-on-one chats back in September 2023 but the update is now available to voice and video messages.
Users can hit the mic icon to start recording and then pull up to tap on the “view-once” icon to allow the recipient to hear the voice message or look at the video message just once.
The feature also allows senders to time how long the receiver will view the message eg 3s, 10s or 30s before it vanishes from the chat.
Additional new features also include ability of users to pause recording during sending of audio or video messages & new controls for read time.
