Media personality Jacque Maribe and her ex-partner Jowie Irungu are set to know their fate today in the Monica Kimani murder case.
Judgement on the murder of the businesswoman has been previously put off at least twice, the last postponement being last December when High Court judge Grace Nzioka indicated the decision on the case could not be delivered on 15 as expected, citing late delay in filing of crucial “case exhibits.”
All parties in the case including their families were present at the Milimani law courts when the news of the postponement was made.
The family of Monica Kimani expressed disappointment in the rescheduling saying it represented a delay in delivery of justice.
Ms. Maribe also took to her Instagram account to condemn Judge Nzioka for postponing the judgement for the second time.
Monica Kimani was tragically found dead at her residence in Lamuria Gardens Apartment, located on Kitale Lane off Denis Pritt Road in Kilimani more than 5 years ago on the night of 19 September 2018.
During the trial, the prosecution presented 35 witnesses who testified against both defendants.
