Four Nigerians have been arrested in connection with the death of Charles Waga Otieno, a 25-year-old car wash operator who is said to have allegedly fell off from the 5th floor of an apartment in Riruta, Nairobi.
Preliminary reports say the deceased was delivering a carpet to the individuals when the incident happened at Corner Heights Apartments along Naivasha Road, where the Nigerians live.
According to the aliens, they paid the car wash attendant KSH. 400 for cleaning the delivered carpet, before he left their house located at the 7th floor.
They say they later heard the victim screaming, undressing, and ultimately leaping from the 5th floor of the apartment to the ground floor, sustaining severe head injuries.
Police who arrived at the scene retrieved Otieno’s cell phone, his earring and cap on the trail from house 56, the house the Nigerians live on the 7th floor. The detectives however failed to understand why the deceased did not have his trousers and inner pants on when he allegedly fell.
When police toured the apartments’ balconies, it was established that the security rails are too high for someone to just jump the way the suspects were describing how the incident happened.
The car-wash attendant, also an aspiring rapper, was confirmed dead on arrival at a medical facility where he was rushed after the fatal fall. The suspects are being held at Satellite Police Station.
