Digital content creator Gordon Onyango Oliech, popular as Oliech Ja Mjengo, has passed on.
The Tiktoker sadly died at Kenyatta Hospital early Wednesday afternoon after weeks of being admitted. BRK has established that Jamjengo officially launched Jamjengo TV last November, a visual platform he had envisioned to use in telling authentic and creative stories.
Soon after the launch, the content creator suddenly developed an eye problem leading him to suspend content creation on the platform,
As of 15 January 2024, Jamjengo had been advised by doctors to keep off cameras and too much sunlight for at least 40 days.
“I currently can’t be on camera because I have been asked to completely avoid artificial light and also reduce on natural light, very teary and with sharp hitting pain, I can’t hold my head up for minutes.
Hopefully after the 40 day dose, I will be advised whether I can get back to camera and do what I love and so passionate about,” the content creator wrote then.
In early February, he was admitted at Jalaram Hospital in Kisumu but was later airlifted to Kenyatta Hospital in Nairobi on 7 February, where he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
He had been undergoing treatment at the medical facility until his untimely death hours ago.
