Buzzroom Kenya has established that the Government late Thursday sent a delegation consisting of engineers, and surveyors to Kelvin Kiptum’s home in Elgeyo-Marakwet County.
The guests who arrived at the late marathoner’s family home delivered a message from President Ruto that they are to build him a befitting 3-bedroomed house in 7 days, ahead of his burial on 24 February.
“They told us we just show them where we wish to have a house built for Kiptum and we leave the rest to them. They say in 7 days there will be a house for the athlete,” says Kiptum’s father.
The engineers further reveal President Ruto is set to be among the first people to tour the house once it’s complete.
Kelvin Kiptum will be accorded a state send-off next Saturday. The record-breaking athlete together with his Rwandese coach, died in a ghastly car crash last Sunday.
