Kisumu County’s facelifted Bus Park located along Nairobi Road at Nyamasaria area is set to officially commence operations tomorrow, 20 February.
According to Ag. Kisumu City Manager Abala Wanga, the facility will not only effectively reorganize the Kisumu’s Public Transport Mobility System but also create economic sustainability to the immediate residents.
The decision to relocate the bus park from CBD to Nyamasaria has for a long time been harshly opposed by motorists and traders but following multiple engagements, the warring parties have agreed to move to the new location.
The City Manager says the CBD bus park will not closed but will be reorganized to be used by town-service passenger vehicles.
