Kenyans could pay higher for fuel in the next review by Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).
This is after the Government tripled the tax payable to EPRA for every litre of the commodity purchased, from KSh. 0.25 to KSh. 0.75 per litre.
The levy is among nine taxes and levies charged on fuel and has been increased to fund the operations of the energy regulator.
6 days ago in EPRA’s monthly review, the cost of Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene was reduced by KSh. 1.00 per litre respectively.
Super Petrol currently retails at KSh. 206.36 per litre, Diesel KSh. 195.47 per litre and Kerosene KSh. 193.23 per litre, prices which will be reviewed on 14 March 2024.
