A Rapid Action Team attached to Law Society of Kenya (LSK) in Nairobi has traced and arrested a man who has been masquerading as an advocate since 2012, when he resigned as a Clerk from the State Law office.
Primary investigations reveal that the suspect operates a cyber café located at Embassy Building where he has registered Bethsheba Legal Consultant, the name of his business.
“He has been defrauding the public in guise of being an advocate as a legal consultant, where he draws pleadings, registers companies, societies and commissions affidavits using several advocates stamps,” reads part of a statement from the team seen by BRK.
The action team further urges its members to continue being vigilant in the fight against quacks, to enable them safeguard and protect their practice space(s) zealously.
