A Kenyan woman working in Saudi Arabia is in distress after two police officers attached to Kasarani Police Station reportedly colluded with a criminal to steal her KSh. 300,000.
Glo Lyn says that while in Saudi, she erroneously sent KSh. 300,000 to one William Otieno, who declined to return the amount. Later, she was forced to fly to Kenya to follow up on the issue, making a formal report at Kasarani Police Station.
The DCI in-charge of her case, Lucy Mbithe Munyambu assured her that her money will be recovered, after successfully tracking Mr. Otieno’s location.
Glo says she was asked by Lucy to send KSh. 20,000 for fueling a police car that was going to be used in the operation and an additional KSh. 3,000 for a taxi as the police vehicle ‘could not reach the suspect’s location’, amounts she sent as she really needed back her KSh. 300,000.
According to her narration, the suspect was arrested but later released after allegedly bribing DCI Lucy and three other officers who’d taken up the operation. She says Lucy turned against her the moment the suspect was released.
Glo reveals that the money she’s lost was meant for her ailing father who eventually passed away, forcing her to watch his burial online from Saudi Arabia.
“Imagine watching my dad’s burial live juu ata ile pesa ningelipiwa ticket I talked with my boss aitume Kenya ndio dad asi over stay in mogue juu ya bill,” Glo painfully narates.
