Kenya has successfully won the bid to host 2024 Transform Africa Summit (TAS-24), Smart Africa Alliance, Africa’s coordinating secretariat for ICT programs and activities has announced.
The announcement has been made during the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, attended by Information, Communications and the Digital Economy CS Eliud Owalo.
Following the announcement, CS Owalo says the successful bid underscores Kenya’s standing as an ICT powerhouse and a regional leader in driving the transformative impact of technology on socio-economic development.
Transform Africa Summit is organized annually by Smart Africa Alliance and is the continent’s prime forum which unites global and regional ICT leaders from government, business and international organizations.
The high level summit will now take place in Nairobi between 28 – 30 August later this year.
