Media personality and ex-news anchor Jacque Maribe and Public Service, Performance & Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary (CS) Moses Kuria have spoken on her appointment to Government.
Ms. Maribe’s appointment as Head of Communications in the Kuria-led Ministry went viral on Sunday evening, a job she’s landed at least a month after being cleared of murder charges in the gruesome killing of businesswoman Monica Kimani.
Confirming the new role, Maribe says it’s all God’s doing. “The truth, which always sets us all free, has worked and I thank God for everything. Let us wait and see if the hand of God is revealing itself in my new appointment,” she says.
Moses Kuria on the other hand despite denying having a hand in her appointment, wishes her well.
“It is true she’s been appointment to lead Communications in my Ministry, only that I am not the one who appointed her but the Public Service Commission. It is the right thing to do for Jacque as President Ruto’s administration is keen to demonstrate that there is nothing like life in ashes, this is a country of justice, equal opportunities and one that will lend you a hand to rise from your ruins,” CS Kuria has said.
Ms. Maribe, a former news anchor at Citizen TV, is a graduate in journalism and media studies from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
