Correspondents at Mediamax, media company owning K24 TV, K24 Plus, Milele and Kameme FM among other multiple radio stations, are reportedly on a go-slow after the media house delaying their salaries.
A notice from the journalists’ representative seen by BRK, advices the writers not to file any content to any Mediamax platform until payment of arrears is paid in full and new working agreement is made.
“Any correspondent filing story will be deemed as saboteur and immediately considered as renegade against this cause of justice. We shall be thoroughly looking at the People Daily newspaper everyday to check which correspondent is going against this,” reads part of the statement signed by one BO.
It however remains unclear how long the journalists at Mediamax have gone without pay.
Apart from K24TV, Mediamax owns People Daily Newspaper, Kameme TV, K24Plus Digital Platform, Milele FM, Kameme FM, Meru FM, Mayian FM, Emoo FM and Msenangu FM.
