The Government through the Ministry of Interior and National Administration has launched a nationwide mandatory vetting, training and licensing of all security guards, bouncers, body guards and VIP protection in line with Private Security Authorization Act.
This is a bid to elevate professionalism, enhance security standards, and ensure the safety of patrons in entertainment spots and recreational facilities following many cases of assault meted by untrained security personnel.
Further, no person shall be allowed to offer security services in a public or private setting without both a valid license and appropriate training.
