The Government through the Ministry of Education has officially launched a search for all the 48,174 candidates who scored a mean grade of E in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam.
Basic Education PS Belio Kipsang’ says this is a bid to have the candidates enrolled into Tertiary and Vocational Training Institutions to enable them be productive in the society despite their low grades.
When releasing the 2023 KCSE results at least a fortnight ago, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu said the number of E grades in the cohort pained him and therefore, there’s need to secure the lives of the students who scored the grade.
